On which Committees do you serve in the House of Representatives?
I currently serve on the Education and Public Works Committee improving our education and infrastructure. I also have the privilege of serving as the Chairman of the Transportation Committee (2021-present). During my tenure as Chair, we passed the slower traffic move right law, the protection of free beach parking, and major reforms of DOT to allow greater efficiency and increased roadwork. Additionally, I serve on the vitally important Legislative Oversight Committee (2021-present) where we thoroughly investigate government agencies to find ways to improve, correct, and streamline.

Why did you run for office?
I always had an interest in government, political philosophy, politics, and history. I am a staunch conservative and believe that conservative principles correctly applied to government will bring about a more prosperous society and more importantly will preserve the blessings of liberty for ourselves and our posterity.
I also watched many politicians whom I supported over the years get into office and never really fight for our values. I believe that a truly effective elected leader must do much more than just vote correctly. He or she must be a voice for truth and must lead and inspire others to join in the noble experiment of the American Republic. I love our country, our heritage, and our political system. I want to be a conserver of these treasured blessings.
What is your Background?
My wife and I attended high school and college in Greenville. We love the Taylors community and are honored to call it home. I attended law school at the University of South Carolina and became a licensed attorney in 2015. Over the last couple of years, my wife and I began to take over daily operations of her family’s small business, and today we enjoy the experience of running Majesty Music, a Christian publishing company that serves thousands of churches and individuals across the globe. Although I enjoy the practice of law, the experience of owning and operating a small business has opened my eyes to the paramount importance of pro-business policies. Small businesses are the lifeblood of our community and must be supported by and guarded against government policies. I serve as a deacon at Morningside Baptist Church, and also serve as a board member of Open Door Baptist Missions. My brother, Alan Morgan also serves in the House of Representatives representing the Greer/Blue Ridge areas. We are the second pair of brothers to serve in the SC House in history. In my free time I enjoy hiking, golf, exercising, and reading.
